Abstract
G7 Hiroshima Summit 2023 provided a roadmap to solutions to various issues. This article will highlight the outcomes of the summit and look ahead to the future prospects, with accounts from a Sherpa (personal representative for the Japanese Prime Minister).

Ono Keiichi
Ono Keiichi is the Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. He graduated from the University of Tokyo (BA) in 1988 and entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. He also graduated from the University of Cambridge (MA) in 1991. After serving as Director, First Southeast Asia Division, Asia and Oceanian Affairs Bureau; Director, Northeast Asia Division, the said Bureau; Director, Management and Coordination Division, Minister’s Secretariat; Deputy Assistant Minister and Deputy Director-General, North American Affairs Bureau; Deputy Chief of Mission/Minister of the Embassy of Japan in Indonesia; Assistant Minister/Director-General and Ambassador for Global Issues; and Director-General, Economic Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan; he assumed his current position in 2022.
