The ‘Editors’ Special Prize’ is a rare event to mark the outstanding contribution that an author has made to JEPP, either for a particular publication or for a series of publications over time. We award the first ‘Editors’ Special Prize’ to Sara B. Hobolt for her article ‘The Brexit vote: a divided nation, a divided continent’, Journal of European Public Policy, 2016, 23:9, 1259–1277. Since its publication in 2016, it is one of JEPP’s most viewed and cited contributions, and it is fair to say that it had a defining influence on our understanding of the Brexit vote. As JEPP Editors we congratulate Sara B. Hobolt for winning the ‘Editors’ Special Prize’.
