Refereeing is the lifeblood of our profession. As authors and editors, we have to take it for granted that our colleagues will invest time and effort into assessing the quality of our work. As Editors of JEPP, we never cease to be grateful that we always find dedicated colleagues who take on this important task for every single paper that we send out for review. We, and our authors, owe our reviewers an immense amount of recognition and gratitude. To emphasize the importance of reviewing, we award an annual reviewer prize. This year, we are delighted to award the reviewer prize to a colleague who has been a JEPP referee since JEPP was first launched some twenty-eight years ago (he has not once declined a review request).
