The outcome variable, c, is dichotomous, an indicator of whether a block is a cluster of a particular industry or not. If the block is a cluster, i.e. it’s i z-score is over 1.96, it takes on value one, otherwise the value is zero.

This should be:

The outcome variable, c, is a probability to whether a block is a cluster of a particular industry or not. If the probability is higher, i.e. it’s i z-score is over 1.96, it takes on higher value.

In the original article, on page 65, section 3.3.2, the text said:

where, is the cluster indicator of industry k

This should be:

where, is the cluster probability of industry k
