1. The editorial as an outline of, and approach to, innovation was meant to be an impulse not only for research foci of the Interdisciplinary Centre of Comparative Research of the Social Sciences, but also for the European Journal for Social Science Research – Innovation. The aim was to build a conceptual basis for the analysis and monitoring of innovation processes in current societal developments.
