Julie A. Nelson

Julie A. Nelson, Professor of Economics at UMass Boston, has been active in feminist economics since the early 1990s. She authored “Gender, Metaphor, and the Definition of Economics” (Economics and Philosophy, 1992) and co-edited Beyond Economic Man: Feminist Theory and Economics (University of Chicago Press, 1993). She is also a contributor to ecological economics as well as a Senior Dharma Teacher in the Boundless Way Zen school. She blogs at julieanelson.com. Her most recent work is Economics for Humans (2nd ed., forthcoming 2018; University of Chicago Press).
