Life without economic resources is hard. It is harder still if you are not only poor, but belong to a minority community which is subject to prejudice from the wider population. In this piece, we hear about a project which aimed to transform the lives of members of just such a Costa Rican community, using a technique in which theatre provides a positive experience – with long-term effects – for the audience, and the actors alike.
