Laurence Côté-Roy

Laurence Côté-Roy is a doctoral candidate in urban Geography at McGill University in Montréal, Canada. Her research focuses on brand new cities being developed in Morocco and in Africa more broadly. Through her research, she critically examines the arguments and rationales deployed to support the new city model for territorial development. In Morocco, she is interested in how and with what consequences new cities are altering the kingdom's urban landscape, and how new cities are reshaping the kingdom's image nationally and internationally.
