S. Erdem Aytaç, Ali Çarkoğlu, and Kerem Yıldırım (2017) Taking Sides: Determinants of Support for a Presidential System in Turkey, South European Society and Politics, http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/13608746.2017.1280879
When the above article was first published online, a statement on page 4 reads as:
“In our representative survey of spring 2015, we asked our respondents whether the following statement is true or false: ‘Today, most democracies have a parliamentary system of governance rather than a presidential one as in the United States.’ About 27 per cent of our respondents could not give an answer, and only about six per cent correctly pointed out that the statement was false.”
The correct version of the statement should be:
“In our representative survey of spring 2015, we asked our respondents whether the following statement is true or false: ‘Today, most democracies have a parliamentary system of governance rather than a presidential one as in the United States.’ About 27 per cent of our respondents could not give an answer, and only about 15 per cent correctly pointed out that the statement was true.”
This has now been corrected in both the print and online versions.
