Beverly Lemire
Beverly Lemire is Professor and Henry Marshall Tory Chair, University of Alberta. Her work examines intersecting areas of material culture, gender, race, and fashion from c.1600-1900 in British, imperial, and comparative global perspectives. Recent works include Global Trade and the Transformation of Consumer Cultures. The Material World Remade, c. 1500-1820 (Cambridge, 2018). And from the “Object Lives” (www.objectlives.com) collaborative project: Object Lives and Global Histories of Northern North America: Material Culture in Motion, c. 1780-1980 (Montreal & Kingston, 2021). lemire@ualberta.ca
