I do wonder how many examples of such material dating from the actual time in question have been consulted by Piatek in relation to her charge of ‘mythologizing’. Unhelpfully, her book does not contain an index, and I can recall only one reference to Wilfred Owen, with a citation taken from an edited anthology.
