Abstract

The electrical resistivity of Al–4.4 and 5.3 at.% Zn alloys has been determined at various ageing temperatures, for various ageing time. It was found that within the limits of experimental accuracy the resistivity variations are not dependent on the measuring temperature, In particular the ageing time for the peak resistivity and the peak height are independent of the measuring temperature. These results cannot be explained by models which try to describe the resistivity variations by G. P. zone formation.
