Abstract
In strongly localized systems one expects non-ergodic behaviour below a ‘glass temperature’, T e. In this paper it is shown that for systems both with and without Coulomb interactions the critical behaviour of the dielectric susceptibility, X, is the same, in particular X∝(T e–T)−2·4. The critical behaviour of the entropy, S, is also the same in both systems ΔS S−S c∝T−T e. The low-temperature behaviour of the specific heat c is also discussed, with c∝T 2 in the interacting system and c∝T in the non-interacting system.
