Ana Ilse Benavides-Lahnstein

Ana Ilse Benavides-Lahnstein obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Masters degree in Education in her hometown of Monterrey, Mexico. Recently, she was awarded a PhD in Education by the University of Leeds in the UK. Initially, Dr Benavides-Lahnstein significantly developed her career in educational research at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (Cinvestav-Monterrey, Mx.) while collaborating in national and international science education projects. Currently, Dr Benavides-Lahnstein is a Research Officer at the Institute for Research, Innovation and Postgraduate Studies for Education (IIIEPE, Nuevo LeÛn, Mx.). Her research interests are the professional development of school teachers, curriculum analysis, and community formation in schools.
