ABSTRACT

In view of the background of inheriting and carrying forward Chinese maritime history civilisation, this paper constructs a theoretical model for the research and compilation of Chinese maritime culture development index, which is based on China's national conditions and conforms to the inherent regularity of the development of maritime culture industry. The results show that the industry foundation of maritime culture has no significant influence on service input in different regions, and its influence on scientific research output has not yet emerged. However, the presence of maritime universities and research institutes positively correlates with maritime culture output in most port cities. In terms of port maritime culture publicity, the level of interaction is generally low in 2021, with Dalian and Shanghai leading the way. Notably, Shanghai plays a crucial role in promoting and publicizing Chinese maritime culture, and it should continue to leverage its leadership position in the future.
