Partigraphy: a new ethnographic approach to study pandemics in tourism

ABSTRACT

This research letter departs in the recent development of a new style of ethnographic approach to study the effects of particles in tourism, partigraphy [Jensen, M. T. (2019). Partigraphy: A new methodical approach in tourism. Annals of Tourism Research, 79(November), 102801. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.annals.2019.102801] The following promotes the immediate relevance of this novel style of inquiry for tourism scholarship related to the global corona pandemic, and invites for new creative and innovative research. The following adapts the four analytical dimensions of partigraphy and adapt them to the COVID-19 pandemic to inspire research that deals with the global health crisis from an ethnographic perspective.
