Charles D. Raab

Charles D. Raab is Professor of Government in the School of Social and Political Studies at The University of Edinburgh. He has research interests in information regulatory policies and technologies, with a particular focus on privacy protection and public access to information. He was principal investigator for an ESRC Virtual Society? Programme project entitled Privacy Protection in the Virtual Society (L132251019). He is currently co-principal investigator for an ESRC project entitled Data Sharing and Privacy in Multi-Agency Working. With Colin J. Bennett, he published The Governance of Privacy: Policy Instruments in Global Perspective (Ashgate, 2003).

David Mason

David Mason is Dean of Social Sciences at Nottingham Trent University. He has research interests in the sociology of race and ethnicity, labour markets and new technology at work. He was principal investigator for an ESRC Virtual Society? Programme project entitled Technology, Work and Surveillance: Organisational Goals, Privacy and Resistance (L132251036).
