We must apologise to Valeria Escandón, the author of the paper in Volume 11 No. 3 entitled ‘Playing with culture. What is the role of musicality and play in the transmission of culture from mother to infant?’ for a mistake made by the Editor. Although it is clear from the author biography that Ms. Escandón comes from Peru, the Editorial referred to her as coming from Brazil. Since the paper deals with a child's acquisition of language, this is a particularly unfortunate error, as of course the languages spoken in the two countries are different. We very much regret the lapse.
