Meera Desai is a trainee clinical psychologist developing her skills in systemic, narrative, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapies. She first became interested in psychological approaches to distress and the philosophical assumptions underlying them as an undergraduate Philosophy and Psychology student. She has since become passionate about combining frontline work with social action approaches, which she believes have an inherent therapeutic value. She enjoys delivering workshops on creative ways of achieving this. She has taught final year clinical psychology students at the Universities of Leicester and Canterbury Christ Church and Clinical and Community Psychology undergraduates at the University of East London.
