Abstract
ε-MnO2 were synthesized through Mn2+/MnO4−reaction using a deep eutectic solvent (DES) of choline chloride-urea. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and ultraviolet spectroscopy (UV). Moreover, the as-synthesized MnO2 were employed into the photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B(RhB) dye solution in the presence of H2O2 under visible light irradiation. As a result, the sample synthesized at 25 °C exhibited much higher photocatalytic activity for degradation of RhB.
