Note 3 in John Clark's essay stated that in 2001, Sydney had 3,961,451 Asian–Australian citizens, however, that figure represents the total population of Greater Sydney. Clark's argument that Greater Sydney can be deduced to have had an Asian–Australian segment of around 15 per cent—a figure fifteen times greater than the non-Japanese Asian population of metropolitan Fukuoka at that time—still stands. For a detailed breakdown, see Clark's forthcoming Asian Biennials (National University of Singapore Press, 2017).
