ABSTRACT
With mining activities penetrating ever deeper, the consequences of high temperature in mines are increasingly difficult to manage. In this work, a composite thermal barrier coating consisting of an air-curing, heat resistant coating and a polyurethane foaming plastic layer is developed. The influence of coating thickness and porosity on the insulation performance is computed with analysis and simulation. A testing device to measure the thermal conductivity coefficient of the coating is also designed to evaluate its properties.
