1 While the classic practice of textually describing an image is paramount among art historians (ekphrasis), designers perform a reverse procedure in which they are presented by a ‘brief’, or textual description of their proposed project, they continue to transform this short text into a visual or material product.

Jonathan Ventura
Jonathan Ventura (PhD) is a design anthropologist, design theoretician and researcher, who deals primarily with social and inclusive design. He teaches at the Department of Inclusive Design at Hadassah Academic College in Jerusalem, the Design Graduate Program at Shenkar RG, and works as a design researcher at PublicZone design studio.
