Abstract
The field of design for circular economy lacks comprehensive and systematic design aids to support users to generate ideas quickly and effectively. This study uses ReSOVLE as a framework, incorporates the lifecycle design approaches, and constructs the Circular Economy Design Heuristics Cards (CEDHC) by extracting strategies relevant to innovative product design, service design, and business model innovation into the form of design heuristics to support ideation, and incorporating TRIZ problem solving strategies to facilitate the iteration of original ideas. The CEDHC include design heuristics, textual explanations, cases and TRIZ 40 inventive principles. Two sessions were conducted to illustrate the efficacy of the CEDHC to support idea generation in the field of design for circular economy.
