I am proud to present another issue of the journal and another collection of excellent papers showing the contribution of health promoters and educators across the globe. Journals like this rely on a number of different people. Not only the editors and publisher’s office staff with various roles, but also the contributors themselves, and the reviewers.

As an editor and a reviewer myself, I am only too conscious of the hard work put in by all parties, but I wish to make a plea to encourage more people to become reviewers. Many of the readers of this journal have themselves submitted articles in the past, and many have volunteered their time to be reviewers. However, the vast majority of both submitters and readers are not reviewers, and I would like to change that. Readers are specialists in their own right, and we would like to make the very best of that expertise. Please let me know if you would like to be added to the list of reviewers for the journal. With more reviewers, we can improve the response times of the journal, and head towards our ultimate goal, which is to develop the journal further, and work towards an impact factor and even more success. From its humble roots, IJHPE has grown into a respected and well-subscribed journal and we have great plans. For example, we have a special issue on traditional healing coming soon, and we are hoping to also feature further special issues in the coming years. With a larger and more diverse team of reviewers, we can and will achieve more.
