In this issue of IJHPE, we bring five papers that truly demonstrate why the word ‘international’ appears in the name of the journal. We travel, on paper, from Australia to India, on to the US, back to India, and then take a trip to Zambia. The subjects covered are diverse, from diet through to worksite wellness and preventive factors in relation to school attendance in children living with HIV/AIDS. The breadth and depth of the papers included are testament to the reach of health promotion and education, and also point up the fuzzy boundaries between public health, health promotion, health psychology, health education, epidemiology and numerous other health domains of study. We continue to celebrate this breadth and depth, and always welcome high-quality submissions, especially with a focus on work which can be generalised to other people in other places, which furthers our knowledge, and which stands up well to methodological scrutiny. We shall always be a voice for colleagues in countries where there are limited resources, to have their efforts reach a wider public, and to encourage the promotion of good health regardless of the political, cultural or social norms of the source of the article.
