We present a double issue of the International Journal with a broad reach and appeal, as we always aim for. In this issue, we have some reports on the well-received and successful recent conference of the Institute of Health Promotion and Education, which was a thought-provoking and exciting networking event. In terms of standard research articles, we have work from across the globe and from different sectors of the human lifespan, with an insight into women’s knowledge and uptake of cervical cancer screening in Nigeria following an educational intervention, a research report on student health and personal beliefs, and papers on health technology and schoolchildren, food literacy in schools, and parents’ views on issues affecting home injuries in young children. Issue after issue, we are able to showcase some of the remarkable work being done to change the world in increasingly austere times, where a commitment to health promotion and education shows no boundaries and we are glad to be a conduit for the global community to share ideas and learn from each other. As an editor, I learn so much from every issue, and even from those papers which do not make the ‘final cut’, as it were. Thank you, as always, to our contributors, and to the hardworking band of reviewers. Once more, we call for potential reviewers to come forward and join that team.
