Over the last year, we have been celebrating 25 years of Human Fertility. This is now the final editorial of this 25th anniversary volume and in addition my last as the Editor in Chief.
I took over as the Editor in Chief in April 2015 (Pacey, Citation2015; Pacey & Leese, Citation2022) and since then have read over 2200 submissions to the journal in addition to editing over 500 manuscripts which were eventually accepted for publication. This has involved many hours of work during the evenings and weekends as I have balanced these editorial duties against my full-time job at the University of Sheffield.
For the success of the journal, I am very grateful to those many individuals who have served on the Editorial Board (Pacey & Downing, Citation2022) as well as the unflinching support and dedication of Sandra Downing who has been the journal’s Editorial Assistant for many years.
I am delighted to hand over the Editor-in-Chief baton to Dr Abha Maheshwari from NHS Grampian and the University of Aberdeen, who will be taking over on 1 January 2023. I wish her, and the rest of the Editorial Board, every success.
