Dahong Liu

Dahong Liu was born in Qingdao, Shandong Province in 1962, he graduated from the Department of Oil Painting of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (today’s China Academy of Art) and has been teaching in the Fine Arts College of Shanghai Normal University. He is the founder of Shuangbai Workshop and had successively held nine exhibitions in the name of the workshop. Liu has been recognized as one of the representatives of China’s “Political Pop” movement in the early 1990s.

Ranyong Chen

Ranyong Chen is PhD candidate in Institute of Social Research and Cultural Studies, National Chiao Tung University and executive editor of Renjian Thought Review. Her research interests include the colonial histories in East Asia and the communication of pop culture.
