Abstract
The subject experienced a severe idiopathic reduction in the intensity of pleasure from her coital and masturbatory orgasms lasting for a five-year period, with no effective treatment. She then found that relaxing her tensed pelvic musculature during sexual arousal restored her orgasmic sexual pleasure to near pre-inhibition levels. The initial dysfunction fitted the diagnosis of Pleasure Dissociative Orgasmic Disorder (PDOD).
