This article refers to:
The socially engaged practices of artists in contemporary China

Wang, M. (2016) The socially engaged practices of artists in contemporary China. Journal of Visual Art Practice. http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/14702029.2016.1179443

When the above article was first published online, the following sentence was presented as follows:

Although not assuming an open stance of activist like Ai Weiwei, Wang’s work inevitably constitutes a form of activism and of civil engagement and contributes to an expanding ‘green pubic sphere’, in environmental scholars’ term (Yang and Calhoun 2008).

This has now been corrected in both the print and online versions to read:

Although not assuming an open stance of activist like Ai Weiwei, Wang’s work inevitably constitutes a form of activism and of civil engagement and contributes to an expanding ‘green public sphere’, in environmental scholars’ term (Yang and Calhoun 2008).
