Objective: To challenge students' memorization and speaking skills by having them present an excerpt from a previously delivered speech

1. The five canons of rhetoric, as they are described in the anonymous Roman text Rhetorica Ad Herennium, are inventio (invention), dispositio (arrangement), elocutio (style), memoria (memory), and pronuntiatio (delivery).
