Oded Nir is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Jewish Studies Program at Vassar college. His first book, Signatures of Struggle, traces the complex relations between the development of Israeli literature and socioeconomic transformations. It was published by SUNY Press in 2018. His essays on Zionist and Israeli culture and Marxist theory have appeared in journals such as Criticism, Prooftexts, Rethinking Marxism and others. Oded is the editor of the peer-reviewed quarterly CLCWeb: Comparative Literature and Culture.
