When the above article was first published online, the following paragraph contained an error and this has now been corrected as follows:

For instance, the author argues that more often international human rights laws focus on rights violation by state actors with less attention paid to addressing private societal wrongs against vulnerable groups such as women, children, indigenous people and persons with disabilities.
