Dominic McLoughlin
Dr Dominic McLoughlin is a psychodynamic counsellor working in higher education. His publications include articles on creative writing in healthcare based on his experience of running poetry writing groups in hospice; he devised and taught the innovative course ‘Creative Writing in Health and Social Care’ at Birkbeck, University of London. His poems have appeared in journals including Poetry Review, Oxford Poetry and Psychodynamic Practice. Dominic’s poetic practice-based PhD featured a thesis on literary influence in Elizabeth Bishop and May Swenson; his essay on reading as a writer appears in the online poetry journal, Wild Court.
