Janis Jefferies

Janis Jefferies is Emeritus Professor of Visual Arts, Goldsmiths, and University of London, UK. She is coeditor of the Handbook of Textile Culture (2016), From Tapestry to Fiber Art. The Lausanne Biennials 1962–1995 (Fondation Toms Pauli Lausanne and Skira Editions Milan 2017), Chief Editor of A Reader. TEXTYLE 2.0 FabPublic, Talking about Textiles, Community and Public Space (CHAT/MILL6 Foundation. Hong Kong 2018). She was the curator of the National Exhibition of Tapestry at the City Art Gallery, Łodz, Poland in 2019. She is currently co-chief editor (with Dr Vivienne Richmond) for the Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of World Textiles (expected December 2023). [email protected]
