Caroline Elenowitz-Hess
Caroline Elenowitz-Hess is a fashion historian based in New York City and a PhD student at Bard Graduate Center. Caroline spent several years working as a fashion designer before pursuing her MA in Fashion Studies from Parsons. She previously received a BA in English Literature from Yale University and an AAS in Fashion Design from FIT. Her writing has been published in Fashion Theory, The Journal of Design History, Atlas Obscura, Jezebel, and the Bloomsbury Fashion Video Archive. She has also curated an online exhibition for the Underpinnings Museum and has been quoted in articles in Harper’s Bazaar, i-D, and W magazine. Her research is focused on definitions of femininity in the 20th century in France and the United States. [email protected], [email protected]
