The following contributions open a new Translation Studies Forum dealing with the topic of universalism in translation studies. The provocation has been written by Andrew Chesterman, and this first round features responses by other senior scholars in the field and around the world. Round two of the Forum will appear in Issue 7.3. The editors welcome further contributions from readers to the debate initiated by Professor Chesterman's position piece.
