Antonia Carcelen-Estrada
Antonia Carcelen-Estrada is a translator and activist for the revitalization of Indigenous languages and environmental rights. Her academic interests include colonial and postcolonial Abya-Yala and transatlantic dialogues on political philosophy, cultural studies and orality. Her translation Zapatista Stories for Dreaming An-Other World (2022) supports the Tzotzil language school in Oventic, Chiapas and other translation projects, initiatives in the Amazon and the Andes. She is currently working with Pueblo history at the Latin American and Iberian Institute in New Mexico and Mohawk literary translation for Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
