Abstract

Phytochemical investigation of Hypericum nakamurai (Masamune) Robson has led to the isolation of three phloroglucinol derivatives 13. The structures of these compounds were determined by the analysis of their spectroscopic data (IR, mass and UV), and by the application of 1-D and 2-D-NMR techniques. Hyperinakin (1) is a new compound. The anti-inflammatory activities of compounds 13 were also tested and evaluated. A biogenetic pathway for compounds 13 was also proposed.
