Abstract

A new (1) and two known (2 and 3) acylated taurine derivatives were isolated from the South China Sea marine sponge Axinella sp. The structures of the compounds were determined on the basis of spectral analysis. Compounds 13 did not inhibit the growth of hepatoma carcinoma cell (HepG2), lung carcinoma cell (A549), human breast carcinoma (MCF-7), no-small cell lung cancer (NCI-H460) and human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell lines.
