Three new olean-type triterpenoid saponins from aerial parts of Eclipta prostrata (L.)

Abstract

Three new olean-type triterpenoid saponins, namely 3-O-(2-O-acetyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl) oleanolic acid-28-O-(β-d-glucopyranosyl) ester (1), 3-O-(6-O-acetyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl) oleanolic acid-28-O-(β-d-glucopyranosyl) ester (2) and 3-O-(β-d-glucopyranosyl) oleanolic acid-28-O-(6-O-acetyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl) ester (3), were isolated from the aerial parts of Eclipta prostrata (L.). Their structures were elucidated based on 1D and 2D NMR and MS spectroscopic data.
