Abstract

A new acetophenone diglycoside, 2,4-dihydroxy-6-methoxy-3-methyl-acetophenone 4-O-gentiobioside (1), along with six know analogues (26), were isolated from the roots of Euphorbia ebracteolata. The structures of these isolates were determined by UV, HRESIMS, 1D and 2D NMR spectral analyses. In addition, all acetophenones showed moderate DPPH free radical scavenging capability, and no cytotoxicity against five human cancer cell lines.
