Abstract
A new tremulane sesquiterpenoid, named irlactam A (1), was isolated from cultures of the fungus Irpex lacteus. The new structure was elucidated by spectroscopic data analysis. The compound was tested for its cytotoxicities on HL-60, SMMC-7721, A-549, MCF-7, and SW480 cells and for its inhibitory activity against isozymes of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases (11β-HSD).
