Abstract
We predict that under certain experimental conditions external radiation with frequency half of that for the alternating Josephson effect can appear when a constant voltage is applied to a quasicrystal–quasicrystal tunnelling junction Citation1. The background for this possibility is the phase coherence of the wavefunctions across the barrier and the absence of scattering on the dynamical degrees of freedom (phonons).
