The Editors of Philosophical Magazine and Philosophical Magazine Letters intend to award a prize of US$1000 to a young writer who has authored or co-authored the best paper published in either of the above journals during the calendar year 2008, as judged by the Editors.
Eligible applicants are those who were studying for a PhD or had completed their PhD studies within the last three years at the time of publication of their paper. The judges will be the Editors of the journals, but they may call for expert assistance in making their decision, which will be final.
