Surface terracing on ferritic stainless-steel fibres and potential relevance to in vitro cell growth

In Philosophical Magazine, Volume 89, Issue 26, 11 September 2009, pp.2285–2303, we published ‘Surface terracing on ferritic stainless-steel fibres and potential relevance to in vitro cell growth’by Athina E. Markakia, Kevin M. Knowles, Rachel A. Oliver and Ali Gholinia.

Due to an error on our part at a late stage in the production process, the following errors were introduced into the reference list:

[13] J.W.M. Vehof, M.T.U. Haus, A.E. de Ruijter, M.A. Montealegre, M. Multigner, S. Pagani and G. Rivero, Clin. Oral Implants Res. 13 (2002) p.94.

The correct references should read:

In addition to this, should have appeared in print as colour, rather than as colour online only. The image should have appeared as follows:

Figure 4. Optical micrograph of a polished and tint-etched section through sintered fibres subjected to the HT1 heat treatment.
