Matt Lewis is the Chair of the National Association of Mathematics Advisers, a subject association operating in the United Kingdom, and works as a Regional Lead for the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics, a government-contracted organisation in England. Previously he worked as an advisory teacher for mathematics for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, where he worked on projects with both primary and secondary schools, including the introduction of lesson studies. In 2016 he received a Master's degree in Mathematics Teacher Education from the University of Oxford, including research on teachers' perception of mathematical tasks.
