Abstract
This article is a look back at the place Jessica Benjamin's first book, The Bonds of Love (Citation1988), had in my intellectual formation as a feminist and a teacher; it is also a look at the present and the ways we may imagine our futures with her work on intersubjectivity and recognition in mind.
