ABSTRACT
The Tourism and Hospitality (T&H) industry and the entire world at large are still recovering from the unprecedented impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic when incidents of human Monkeypox have surfaced as a world health crisis since May 2022. Even though the outbreak is in its early stages, it has the potential to become a catastrophic disaster due to the sharp rise in cases. The current research primarily presents a rapid assessment of the Monkeypox disease and its potential impact on the T&H industry. A comprehensive investigation of the outbreak in its initial stages and the analysis of the extent of its influence on both the T&H industry and the world at large are laid out. The research has been conducted using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Drawing on the available literature, a detailed account of prior diseases and their implications in the twenty-first century is provided.
